1. Black and White, (juried exhibition) at Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Center,On October 1, Lise set up another on-line store at Artfire.com for her art products and CDs. The idea was to have a large display of work at Artfire.com and seasonal items (a limited shop) at Etsy.com.
Lise's prints, gift tags, hand-painted teeshirts, totes and aprons became available at Valley Artisans Market. She has been phasing out her hand-thrown pottery from this shop for a couple of years.
Lise started a new venture making custom prints for
weddings and anniversaries. The beginnings of this venture can be seen here.

Happy New Year!
In my usual tradition, I recount my doings of the previous year, so here goes:
2009 was the year when we finally finished our CD project, Saratoga
Romance. Yippee! So glad to have it done & to be performing (&
actively seeking venues) again!
As for the rest of 2009:
In February, Jim and I performed for the grand opening of a new Woodsongs Coffeehouse called Mavericks Music Hall of Fame. Also performing at the grand opening was Erik Sootes. Here are some of the posters, tickets, etc which I thought were nicely designed by Donna Marie Seakan (click on thumbnails for a larger view):
Here are a couple of samples of Valentine-type designs I made (there were over 24 designs in all: click on thumbnails for a larger view):
From March 20 – April 25 I was in a 5-person invitational juried art exhibit called Once Again at Lower Adirondack Regional Art Center (LARAC). I went “all out” for this exhibit, showing sculpture, pottery, paintings, prints and 48 new greeting card designs all relating to a Renaissance Faire banquet. Here a few pictures from the event (click on thumbnails for larger view):

In addition, I was also showing in the Small Gallery in Cambridge, NY (the gallery is part of Hubbard Hall Projects) for a group show called “At Play” from March 13 – April 7. My piece for the exhibit was A Pawn Escapes.
Also find one of the 24 new greeting card designs relating to Easter for March (click on thumbnails for larger view):
From May 8 – June 14, I showed a carved and sculpted tile in the members’ exhibit at Lower Adirondack Regional Art Center. At Valley Artisans during this same period of time, I was showing new designs related to Mom, Dad, baby, anniversaries and weddings. Here are just 3 of the new designs I created for these two months (click on thumbnails for larger view):
The summer was not so eventful as I was dealing with some
health issues, but I recovered in time for our performance at the Schroon
Lake Art Council in August.
Our CD became available on September 1. It was in September
that we set up a facebook
account for the band (and band member Frank and I also joined facebook for
individual accounts). I also set up a blog,
a twitter account, an account on Renspace
and an Etsy on-line store.
In October the usual avalanche of house crises visited once more (third year in a row) which made it difficult to prepare for many holiday art shows (I hope 2009 was the last year too for this too!).
Thus, the only holiday art shows for November and December were Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Center (see picture below) and a truncated version for Valley Artisans Market. But the music side of my life went well for these 2 months with a show for the media (First Night advertising spot & performance of Starry, Starry Night for TV, radio and print media), a packed venue for Saratoga’s Victorian Streetwalk and another packed venue for Saratoga First Night (where we again added "Starry, Starry Night" into our repertoire in keeping with the theme of Saratoga First Night). Here
